I just assumed that all my PMs were secret admirerers. Not so much the case.
Someone sent me one that said "Kiss my ass asshole" on Valentines!!!! And I don't even know the person. :shrug: Must have really pissed him off though. And I can't PM him back because he blocks PMs.

Once someone PM'd me to chastise me for explaining the origin of "moran" in her thread - she'd gone off on a tear about it and I simply explained why we use it. She PM'd me and reamed me a new one for "trying to teach her internet etiquette." :wtf:

I PM'd back and pointed out that it was very poor internet etiquette indeed to PM nasty notes to people who were trying to help. Then I put her on Ignore. :P

Maybe "kiss my ass asshole" is his way of saying "Happy Valentine's Day?"

that is pretty wimpy to send you a pm and then block you

in the past I've gotten crappy things like that in my pm from different people

it is up to you whether to alert on it or not.

I'm sure the mods and admins would say that is the best course of action. The other is to block them back, then they can't PM you anymore.

Or you can do nothing and the asshat who did that will probably end up TS'd at some point anyway.

On a public forum, I find that some people are just pissy and they get pissed off very easily.

but you do have weapons at your disposal :D

i got a pm from someone over an epic flamewar in GDP in the fall, i know it wasn't meant for me because of the info it contained so i pm'd the person back and they said they made a mistake and begged me not to send it to the intended---which i had no idea who the intended was BTW.
