Tired, crabby, pregnant.
Not fun. I'm ready to be done now, but the baby isn't. I want him to stay in as long as he needs to, I just wish it didn't suck to keep hostessing him.

I wish I could say I'm done whining now, but that's quite unlikely. :)

5. Well it looks like you better hang tight!
Rest up as much as you can. You may be hostess to that little one in the womb, but you will be mom/servant/cheer-leader/cook/chauffer for the next 20 years or so after that. (Hey, mine is 26 & she's still coming over & saying "what's for dinner?) Best wishes.

7. You're reaching the end of the line now. Believe it or not...you'll miss
this time. I miss lying in bed and feeling my son's little hand sliding around inside my tummy. Enjoy the precious parts and look forward to seeing his sweet little face. I'd give anything to be able to have another.

8. is the sciatica any better?
Been thinking of you, not that it's any help.

Today is my 'baby's' 31st birthday. The aches, pains and crabby attacks are long gone. They wore off about the time I got to look at her sweet little face. OK, some of them came back briefly during her adolescence, but only briefly.

Best of luck to you NicoleM. It's a great adventure.

9. 8 months? That's about right for this feeling!
I think it's hard-wired--few women aren't sick of it by this point!

Hang in there--the end is in sight! :grouphug:

So writes a mother of four

10. that is the point when everything is uncomfortable
I remember standing in a store at about that point - 8 months or so -and just realizing I wanted to go home - you are heavy and tired and you want the child to be outside of you. Unlike the mid months where you feel like Superwoman! Good luck and think postiive. Sit and put your feet up ( if you can) and have people wait on you. And don't work right up til your due date... I remember being in a meeting the week my son was born and people were worried that they would have to deliver the baby! :)

12. If you are due April 2 then he could come anytime now and be
fully ready...it's OK to wish for it sooner! :D My niece just evicted her baby...a little early but she is thriving and cute.

Hope it's over soon for you.
:hi:

13. Go ahead and whine.
It is taxing, exhausting, people want to touch you like you're a good luck charm.

For a long time, while pregnant, I just wanted my body to myself.

When he was born, however, I felt this sense of loss, like I had had my very best super secret friend with me all that time. And then he was outside me and I knew we would never be like that again.

The following times were wonderful, too, please don't mistake me. Nothing like finding out that blowing on the baby's toes makes him giggle uncontrollably. Take heart.

14. I'm much better now.
I haven't been able to sleep much these last few days, but I took a nap and I feel a lot better. Thanks for caring, everybody. I appreciate it.

I'll try to respond to everybody all at once--my sciatica is gone, I don't have a job so I spend all of my time laying on the couch or sitting here in front of the computer, after this Thursday he's considered full-term so NMSA is right, it could be any day now, I have a wonderful DH who is waiting on me, and I NEVER felt like Superwoman for even a minute throughout this whole thing. :)
