1. Last I heard
some DUers were trying to reach consensus on a place...sort of looked like Chicago?

3. That was months ago that people
were trying to decide on a city, and nothing's been done since, to my knowledge. Either there's major, strident disagreement on the city, or people just aren't all that interested.

if you want. Make it Vegas. it's perfect. Cheap housing, plenty of meeting space and fun for everyone.

5. That may be true, but I can't afford
to get there, either by car or plane (I'm near Cleveland). I think what may have to happen is that we may have to have simultaneous conferences in different regions of the country, because too many people are hampered by finances and distance.
