1. I can drive to Vegas in 4 hours and get a free room
so I am biased. :D

2. DC because it's DU's base
I've been pushing the idea recently for a DU Inaugural Ball if Kerry wins.

4. Las Vegas.
I could get my family to go with me. Be there in 4 hours. Please, just don't make it the last week of July -- that's when I have to take the Bar. Other than that, I am there.

7. Chicago is good
because everyone can get a flight there. It's a major hub. I am from NY, but NY is expensive. I think Vegas is perfect. It's cheap, fun, and there is plenty of space.

8. Make it Vegas so I can attend
but don't come to gamble or otherwise spend a dime in these greedy asswipe casinos beyond room and meal expenses. The way they're tightening up the games and ripping people off just makes me sick, and I'm stuck working in it every day.

9. Chicago
Edited on Sat Mar-06-04 06:01 PM by Divernan
Politically, it's a Dem town in a state with a Dem. governor, and geographically, it's easy to get bargain flights into O'Hare or Midway, and it would be closer on average for everyone. I would feel safer from harassment, spying or bogus arrests in Chicago. I think the city would be much more amenable to permitting demonstrations or marches than DC.

12. NYC or Washington. Boston is too far away
NYC is more centrally located on the NE corridor.

Lots of people can't make it to Chicago; it's geographically far from lots of Coastal DUers.

DC is an obvious choice, and is probably the best one.

26. When would it be held?
It was 82º in Vegas today! Beautiful.

If you're planning on holding it after the election, that would be great, too. But the summer can be miserable here with triple-digit heat for weeks at a time.
