He just knew how to market himself. Oh, he has plenty of horrible traits, but a lot of them can be attributed to the time and culture that he grew up in. Additionally, it can't be said that having a mother who called you an anti-Christ as a child helped.

How evil can anyone be who actually wrote coded propaganda for the British during WW2?
