My cat Billi will not sit on my lap, ever!
But of course....when I am in my computer chair...like now...
she sits behind me, makes me scoot forward on the edge.
She likes to be between me and the back of the chair.

Excuse me, am I in your way? I'm studying for an exam and taking a break on DU?
Do you mind? I mean, it is MY chair.

Apparently it's HER call. Excuse the heck out of me.
:silly:

1. Maybe she will someday
It took three years for me to get my cat Cali to sit in my lap and now I feel like I have a part-time job as a cat cushion.
You are right though, it is her call, that's just the way it is with cats.

2. Um, did you think we were joking about being owned by cats?

It's not your house, your rules. It's your house, Billi rules. ;-)

My cat just decided that my lap was where he wants to be so I'm typing V E R Y S L O W L Y because the little bugger is using my forearm as a head rest.

we have three now and I am definitely owned.

The "three furry feminine felines"....we say around here.

I have the 12 year old Siamese, Miss Kitty, (mom named her) that was mine, then mom's, and mine again.
4 year old Billi, black and white
10 month old Dora, maybe tabby, but we suspect she's a not perfect pixie-bob, but has the personality...she thinks she's a dog.

We have a multi-cat-ural house hold for sure. And they are in charge.
The border collie doesn't even get away with trying to herd them!!!

When we took Dora in, I knew I was doomed, doomed I tell you! ;p

3. I love it when mine sit
in back of me - feels like a nice hot-water bottle.

6. Cats are masters at finding a way to get comfortable.
Screw you as long as they are comfy cozy....at least that's how THEY look at it. I look at it, like unass my chair...I brag and don't do it. I scoot forward too.

Yogi and I have a system worked out sorta. He tries to jump on my computer keyboard holder thingy. That's when I know to either sit up, fold my legs and let him get comfy in front of me on the seat, or not see anything but him in front of my monitor. It's my choice, or at least that's they way he spins it. x(
