I am a Red Sox-Yankees fan
I have lived in boston for 7 years, and New York for 7 years, and have come to love both teams. My New York friends say that's impossible, my Boston friends say its impossible.

I'm a different kind of animal, I guess.

4. my brother's theory on that
Edited on Sun Mar-07-04 01:53 PM by Mass_Liberal
is that it will be tied in the 9th inning, game 7, and god will choose that moment for the world to end.

7. Back in '86, someone asked me how I wanted the Mets/Bosox WS to end
my reply was something along the lines of two ball player-laden aircraft crashing into each other midair...

14. Add Dodgers/Angels? Nah. Don't bother.
No matter what you do, people outside So. Cal. will assume you're a Dodger fan. So if you like them, don't even bother with the Angels.

5. THAT...is impossible!
Speaking as a former New Yorker. It's akin to saying you are a fan of both the NY Yankees and the NY Metropolitans (that's their real name, you know? The Mets.) I'd say it's worse. It's like saying you like both the Dems and the repigs.

You may need to see a shrink about this one. There's a good one at 1918 B'way. :)

(veiled reference to 1918 admitted)

8. Where were you born?
If in Boston like myself, (1) you are a traitor to the Red Sox, (2) or you are in need of deep therapy, or (3) you just say or think your a Yanks fan so the local NY'ers don't beat you up!

Now which is it? }(

I was born in NY, but have lived in Boston for the 1/2 of my life that I was entirely concious in.

NY: 1-6, 13

13. hey . . . I'm with ya . . .
grew up a Brooklyn Dodger fan who hated the Yankees . . . lived in Massachusetts for 15 years as a Red Sox fan, and moved back to New York around the time Joe Torre started managing the Yanks . . . I liked that team and became a fan, but still have a soft spot for the Sox . . . doesn't matter to me which one of them wins, as long as one of them does . . . as for the head-to-head games? . . . just a chance to see some great baseball . . . I'll still follow the Yankees, but I have a lot of friends in New England who I hope will see the Sox win it all before they die . . .

18. If it's in the playoffs, I root for the Red Sox
because the Yankees have already had enough World Series titles. If its during the regular season, I just want to see a great games, whoever wins.
