3. I don't have ADHD, but I do recommend brainwave entrainment.
Start here: BrainWave Generator

Use the ADHD Preset

Report back on how well it worked (or didn't work.)

like Walking Meditation - http://www.wildmind.org/walking/overview

or my friend does Tai Chi - - after you "learn" it practicing it can become meditative.

10. Yeah I do. I take concerta.
It has worked pretty well. I was on Strattera for a while, but it sucked and made me near-suicidal, so I switched back to Concerta. I've had no problems since.

12. Anything you do that requires your full attention (walking meditation mentioned here) is meditation
a hobby, a sport or physical activity, artwork or nature, whatever it is that you are fully engaged in and absorbed in, to the point that time stops...........
............... ......................... .........................

Let go of preexpectations of how it's "supposed to be" and indulge yourself in your own concentration and focus, breathe.

Kentauros' post and the Alternative Healing Group have good references. That forum would probably have good refs for your specific concerns.

Also might want to treat yourself to massage or acupuncture.

Check out Michael Moore's work including "The Psychic Side of Sports."

Good vibes on your search.

13. I'll second the bit about massage
:)

I've had massages so good, they put me to sleep! :D

If you do try the brainwave generator, don't worry if you do go to sleep, it will still have an effect on your brainwaves. Sometimes it just takes a while to relax and let it do the work of taking you down to alpha and eventually theta. If you get to delta, well, you're asleep! :P

20. I have considered accupuncture.
My chiropractor has used pressure points on me as well as other holistic methods. I know I've almost fallen asleep during some of those therapies, too :) Not the pressure points, tho; those often hurt due to knotted muscles.

What kind of accupunture ensures enlightenment?

ya got me.

I've only had treatments from a second (at least) generation acupuncturist whose parents were respected acupuncturists and chiropractors in China; who uses traditional Chinese herbs and creates his own blends; who treats people -- with remarkable results -- that traditional doctors have given up on.... who doesn't need to hear the whole story (we're all stressed out) to assess what's goin on.......

Who is amazing at what he does and patients rave about......

And ensures a nice nap. :spray: and enlightening concepts (a la Tao) for those so inclined....

The herbs allow folks to heal and/or just mellow out in general...................

26. tzscha ya know WUT?
U still up? How's the toof?

Thing about acupuncture (I've only had the best, like I sed) is

treats the WHOLE BODY, WHOLE PERSON, so it tends toward the transcendental or Tao or Whatever We Call It Even If It's Vibes As Long As It's Not Woo.

27. Still awake, thanks to a beer earlier...
Normally they put me to sleep, but if I make it past the point of nodding off, it envigorates me instead. Go figure.

The tooth is better, though I was having some sensitivity to pressure still a week after the procedure. I picked up a refill on my antibiotics and will be taking them again just in case. Still need to call my regular dentist and see when they want me to come in for repairing the rest of the tooth. I did compliment the endodontist people again as they did do a wonderful job, even for follow-up in my care. It's always great when you find healthcare professionals like that :D

As for acupuncture, the it is like so many of the holistic methods in how they work on the whole body. The same for how meditation works on the whole body (to get somewhat on topic again) or anything that affects your brainwaves :D
