3. Well the first mistake would be to set yourself up as an authority figure or moral guide.
If someone says something that is moral, or sounds like it makes sense, it should be from the content of the statement. Each statement should hold its own credibility.

If you get people to give you credibility, then when you say something wrong, they might do it just because you said it. People should think on it, if good keep it, if bad ignore it, because nobody is right all the time.

The only person that needs your loyalty is someone that will eventually need you to cover for them or they plan on cheating you. Loyalty is what you do when good reason tells you to do something else. You can however protect another person, not out of loyalty, but out of respect or friendship, not because you are bound to do it, but because you make a choice.

You don't follow leaders, you follow the good ideas and direction of leaders, when the ideas are good.
