2. I like hyacinth.
I planted the front yard full of crocus one year but the damn squirrels dug them all up. They were probably watching me plant them.

6. Narcissus.
Narcissus are my favorite because they're so easy and come in so many different forms and color combos, plus most bulb-stealing rodents won't touch them. Daffodil power!

26. you do not need skills to grow bulbs. They just take care of themselves.
Where we are, tulips have to be replanted every fall so I don't bother with them. It doesn't get cool enough for long enough here for them to repeat.

Daffodils, hyacinth and iris do nicely though, although there are some varieties that need a longer winter and so do not rebloom every year

This fall, get some bulbs at the garden center and plant them; start with maybe one or two varieties. Then each year you can add some more. And the ones you planted will spread underground so your one bulb this year will be two blooms next year, three or four the next and so on until they have to be dug up, split apart and replanted separately.

here are some of my iris photos, don't have any daffodils in photobucket at the moment

22. my early daffodils have come and gone, and my late ones are up but not budded
yet.

Iris come on in April here, except for a few strains of early early ones. I don't have any of them but my neighbor does.
