*Lower Alabama. The camellias are in full bloom. The azaleas are popping. Right now? Sunny and 70. Nice. :-)

Crocus and snowdrops are in bloom, as well as witch hazel. I saw a few yellow leaves on a forsythia. The heads on daffodils are starting to turn yellow and are about one week away from blooming. Green grass is peaking out from brown leaves strewn about from last fall. This winter has been long and cold. I'm so glad spring is almost here.

2. I remember 'spring' in New Hampshire. |
|
Early thaw in late February. Mud season. Followed by a blizzard in mid March. :-(

3. Aren't you glad you're not there anymore? |

We had snow just 9 days ago but then a few days later, it was in the 60s. March's lion and lamb are fighting it out!

I'm a native. I came back in spite of the politics. Doin' what I can to change that.

10. The local list is soooo long. |
|
Politics aside (It's not my 'LIFE'), the climate is ideal for us. The local seafood and row crop veggies are sublime AND affordable. The cost of living is very low. There's more to life than politics. We're working on that part. :-)

7. No, a couple of hundred miles away. |

But the world, or at least the U.S., is just crazy now. I'm thinking now I should be packing heat when I go to buy gas. Jeez.

There is nothing resembling live plant growth anywhere. There is, however, snow.
I hate you. :)

13. It's springtime in WNY |
|
It's snowing. x(
It wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't had some 50+ degree days recently. It's the back and forth that drives you crazy. (I saw a couple of bulbs with shoots! Are they frozen and dead now? Gotta wait till it's truly spring--late May--to find out.)
