for me. I recently went in there, and was scarred for life. I was looking for a thread that had got locked in LBN and moved to I/P. Never again. :scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:

I also don't go to the Gun Dungeon, and I visit GD extra crunchy occasionally. :scared:

Still, its kind of weird that there's a niche in DU where torture gets defended and the likes of Ariel Sharon are said to be "making the world a better place."

Its probably good that its a bit hidden, like some embarassing deranged uncle locked in the attic.

some who consider themselves "left" seem to suffer cognitive dissonance and have no problems supporting fascism when it comes to that situation.

I can't go in there. It was bad enough seeing people defend the rignt wing death squads taking over Haiti last week in the regular forums..

I just ventured in there after reading this, to see if it was as...erm...entertaining...as I remembered it. I come away reasonably convinced that a sizable percentage of the participants are, not to put too fine a point on it, mad as arseholes. Someone needs to airlift massive quantities of tranquilisers to these people. They seem to need it.
