1. This one's on the list too, from a criminally overlooked band (Revolver-era Beatles x Softboys)

3. My head is a real jukebox so I always have an earworm.
Most of the time it's a Beatles song.Right now it's Penny Lane.

So it's my favorite BurtWorm err I mean earworm at the moment. :)

8. Ha ha!
;)

I bet you'd like the High Dials, if you don't already. They're from Montreal and they're very reminiscent of the Beatles when they went a little acid, right around the time of Penny Lane, as a matter of fact.

7. Thanks!
I read about them in the NYTimes a couple of days ago. Talk about a criminally overlooked band! That's a great song.

17. A fairly obscure old fart of the music biz, JJ Cale -
Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 12:17 PM by old mark
Found several live versions of him doing his song"Cocaine."

He is a unique guitarist, and on most of his CD's he plays every instrument but drums.

20. Maybe more earworm than hit.
A somber, intellectual ballad. The band members are pretty frumpy looking, too.
