Poll question: Why does Shrubya consistently take such horrible pictures?
He has to know that he's constantly on camera. Yet whenever you see him, he's either clowning around or looking completely idiotic.

Whenever he has a serious look on his face, it's as if he's mentally going over a set of instructions to focus on individual parts of his face. "Hmmm, What did Karl say? Oh, yeah... Lip down, eyebrow up. Yep, that's it. There."

The guy is the President. Why does he always look like a fool? I refuse to call him stupid, because that's just playing to his strengths. He has to have some rudimentary intelligence... somewhere in that thick skull of his.

So why does he take such horrible photos?

This is just driving me nuts.

1. He is a GOOBER!
Goobers always look like goobers. I can't help it, it is the first thing that happens when I see him on TV. My mind just screams GOOBER!

2. I've seen some pics of him from way back
When he was more New Haven than Texas. He didn't always have this goober-like expression on his face.

This is obviously something he learned.

5. That's what coke and booze will do to you.
But the smirk must be impossible to loose.

And don't forget, most people with close set eyes look bad.

4. The eyes (and face) are a window into one's soul.
He can't really hide his idiocy. Cameras can lie, but they can also tell hidden truths. There is a science of detecting lies through micro-expressions where using a camera and looking at small movements of a facial expression, one can detect a lie.

There should also be a science of detecting fools via micro expressions. This is what I think the camera is catching with the shrub. Micro-idiocy expressions that show up at regular intervals so as to be easy to catch on camera.

He just can't hide it, he's a moron.

6. Because he's one of the ugliest Presidents we've ever had.
That's why he takes such horrible pictures.

from being captured on the camera?

10. Maybe it's because
he is an insecure person who feels worthless, but he is trying to make up for that by overcompensating and acting like a big shot.

A person that feels like he or she is worthy thinks of himself or herself as equal to others, but a person that feels worthless tries to act superior to others. He acts like a buffoon and a bully and if you look at pictures of Mussolini. you will see some similar expressions.

He has no dignity or pride, really, because he doesn't even understand what it means to accomplish even the smallest thing for himself. It's all been handed on a silver platter. Most people would feel they made an accomplishment to quit drinking, and it IS a huge thing, but I think that's just another made-up Rove story, I think he still drinks.

Even Bush admitted when he was Governor -- or was it before that? -- that he was nothing but a media creation.

12. Brrr. That post just sent a shiver up my spine
You've convinced me. Our boy is truly in need of some help. I hear that they have this great headshrinker in Crawford TX. Let's send him back there so he can get the help that he surely needs.

14. Rove decided to let him 'age'
no hair dye, make-up (except for maybe special occasions) ... so if they need to, he can back out due to "health reasons" ... plus, it makes him look like he's actually been dealing with a lot of stress and pressure ... shows some 'wear and tear' ...
