14. East Texas Baptist University. I hear it's about as bad as it gets.
Required chapel and all that.

Unless she goes to Howard Payne University in Texas. They have required revivals and Resurrection Week.

24. Texas has a few schools like that....
Dallas Baptist University, Texas Christian University, Baylor (not as strict as they used to be), and Abilene Christian University.

I was talking to my son about a neighbor's son who went to Abilene Christian University.

He replied, "Dad, that's where parents who think Baylor is too liberal send their kids!"

the religion professors at BU were heretics. It may have recently undergone a conservative revival, though.

Texas has a few more colleges like this. I remember getting ready to graduate from my secular state university when an old friend from Mary hardin Baylor or some other conservative school came to see me in my coed dorm. She didn't live in a coed dorm, of course. She told me she was getting demerits (as a senior) for not making her bed every day. Meanwhile, I had a key to my room and a pass key to the building, like every other adult living in the dorm. Yeah, we were a little wilder than the dorm at MHB or ETBU, etc.

20. Do it! Scan your rejection notice from BJU and post it here!
I think being rejected by Bob Jones University would be a mark of distinction.

Now...BJU has a Culinary Arts curriculum. I looked at that and thought, "I can just imagine what Wine Pairing class in this place is like."

21. Did Jesus turn the water into merlot, cab sav, shiraz, or some other kind of wine?
Now I'm sure Our Lord and Savior is good at wine pairing, so let's look at what he was serving it with...

23. ok, the bob jones jokes are starting to disturb me

one of my good friends is a fundie.. it is one of the big disagreements we have since i'm extremely liberal yet also a christian. still, she LOATHES bob jones university, and refers to it as "nothing more than a 'finishing school' for girls." the university isn't highly respected down here by many - even fundamentalist christians.
