Anyone ever see Eco-Challenge or remember it?
I remember finding it one day on a tv and it was absolutely enthralling. The sheer endurance, the conditions, the teamwork, the locations were never short of spectacular.
I wish it was still on, unfortunately Mark Burnett found a simpler, more lucrative show to produce. Pity really.

1. I used to love watching those!
Truly incredible to watch. To see those teams from all around the world, including the teams that were like the Little Engines That Could. One of my favorite years was when the female athlete on a Japanese team took a spill and had to be carried up and down mountains -- incredible. But I was soooo pissed when they started focusing primarily on the American teams (the last few years of the events) and when it was dumped entirely to focus on "Survivor".

"Survivor" is SHITE compared to the real adventure teams of the Eco-Challange.

2. That was a great show!
I remember that one woman that always had to wear her red lipstick! I also remember that there were several competitors that were older (I can't quite remember, but I seem to recall a few competitors that were over the age of 60). All in all, the show was very inspirational.

I still like "Survivor," because it is interesting to see other cultures. I can't say that I watch it regularly, but it is interesting to see the different reactions the contestants have. Sometimes those who don't win are the very ones who gained the most.

Coincidentally, I knew someone who participated in the "Raid Gauloises." I thought it was more difficult than the Eco-Challenge (based solely on first hand accounts of a particular race).
