The Columbus cops are searching for a 17 year old. His mother called on him because he left the house with two "bags" (I assume drugs but they only refer to it as "bags" or 33A) and a 9mm weapon. Wild stuff.

4. My buddy had a scanner back when cell phones were analog

we would tune in and listen to peoples' phone calls.We could have gotten in so much trouble,I would guess this was the late 80's.

My county isn't broadcasting.

It's funny here. There are several homes I visit that have a scanner going 24/7. I know this because when I get in trouble my phone rings... "umm, cops are coming to your house."

That way I can meet them on the porch. (and really get in trouble proper) :blush:
