1. Yeah, well Chris Carpenter is throwing a no-hitter.
And his team is losing. Beat that.

4. Ironically, it was Albert Pujols with the fielding boner
that allowed a Pirate to score. ARGH!

7. Yikes, that IS unusual
I like Albert Pujols. I actually have a Pujols shirt (my partner had a business trip to St. Louis a couple of years ago, and he got me the shirt).

6. Another inning without a hit
I swear, if he gets the last twelve outs without giving up a hit and we lose...

2. You are the second person I've heard in the last 48 say "Twins" and "assbats" in the same sentence
And for exactly the same reason!

I'm so glad I can't stream KSTP AM 1500 at work. I'd have a heart attack.

5. I am actually watching the game
Extra Innings has the Seattle feed today. (Twins are not on local Twin Cities TV - :( )

Thankfully, listening to the Seattle guys is far more pleasant than listening to Hawk Harrelson and DJ (the White Sox TV guys) call a game.

9. I'm listening on the radio.
I love our Seattle guys; they call a good game, even if the Mariners are losing.

Especially Dave Niehaus. He gets so excited sometimes!

10. Well baby, we split this series with ya!
I did enjoy the way your crew called the game. It was not painful or overly "homer-y". I enjoyed them talking about Bob Casey (the deceased long time announcer for the Twins), Bud Grant, Kirby Puckett and Kent Hrbek. They actually had respect for the Twins team.

:D

11. Split it, we did.
One thing about Dave Niehaus and Rick Rizzs; they both love and respect the game of baseball and those who play it. They often talk about players, both current and former, of the team the Mariners are playing, as well as other people who are connected with the team (i.e. Bob Casey).

That's one thing I love about listening to them; it's the baseball experience, not just the game, that they talk about.

12. I really enjoyed listening to them.
You are right about the baseball experience. And they both have what I would call "baseball voices" which makes it even more fun.

14. It looks like a bat, it acts like a bat but really does not hit the ball well at all.
