Aaaand Chris Carpenter is hurt!
Impressive. That only took two games and ten innings this year.

Goddammit.

1. Carpenter and Glavine.
Here I stand sadly posing two great reasons I love the DH rule in the American League.

Pitchers. Shouldn't. Bat.

2. This one isn't really close to season-threatening
but still. I'm sick of his fucking medical bills.

3. Not gonna stress about it.
Just a rib strain. It's not his arm, shoulder, etc.

4. Let's hope his reevaluation turns out fine
I remember they thought Woody Williams had one of those, and it ended up to be an oblique injury. We lost him for a good portion of the season.

For now, I'm just hoping we can hold on to this one.

6. Me too
We've had four closers thus far this year, and only one has blown it. We may have a fifth tonight.

8. Duncan, Ankiel, and Greene go down 1-2-3
And could you explain to me why Ryan Ludwick has sat out for three games??

I could've sworn he went .299/37/113 with 104 runs last year?

10. I dunno. Haven't heard anything about him being hurt.

Maybe the genius LaRussa wants Colby Rasmus' big bat in the lineup.

Edit - Motte and his 11.25 ERA can get on the plane to Memphis any day now.

11. Motte has settled down
Tonight's run was given up on a tough luck groundball by Reyes.

I think the Ludwick ordeal is La Russa overanalyzing. You do not sit one of the best players in the game.

I wish Kinney would stop screwing around with the bottom of the D-Backs lineup.

Live look-in at the game on MLB Network.

Fuck you, Kinney.

23. Not as smart as he thinks he is.
Interestingly, I thought he did a great job last year with a crap team. He's much better when there are no expectations.

It's a shame we don't have an All-Star who is sitting his ass on the bench.

La Russa is stupid as hell.
