I love Pandora. I create a station based on my faves and it throws stuff out at me that I've never heard before and must then go buy. It's been terrible for my music budget.

I turn it on first thing in the morning. Check its schedule -- great selection of programs, including the Met Opera every Saturday afternoon. That's a classic.

I listen to Baroque, stations that play music during a specific year, and Nature which is really cool for crickets, wind, rain, ocean, critters, birds. Very, very peaceful that one. And then KROQ when I get a little homesick for El Lay.

It's not pure background music I'm afraid... for that Slacker or Pandora's better. However the personalities on there aren't too bad.
