UNCONFIRMED reports that Gov. Kernen (D-IN) has died

It's not on CNN or any of the local networks, apparently.

God, let this not be true. He became Governor six months ago this Saturday, I believe, when O'Bannon passed.

"Totally unconfirmed," as Walter Cronkite said on 11/22/63.

5. Let's hope it's a mistake

A DUer posted it in LBN, thread is gone. He said he works for a travel insurance company and got a call from someone who claimed to be an employee of Kernan who said they had to cancel their travel plans and come home due to his death.

I feel the DU poster was sincere but it's possible his source was mistaken or even BSing him to get a refund. Let's all hope so!

and there has been no confirmation as of yet. If it is true, it would have been at least the second or third story and nothing yet.

11. I had a friend calls the newsdesk of an Indianapolis newspaper

they said it's not true.

Unless he was found dead with a 16 year old girl naked in his bed and they're doing a cover-up of some kind, it's safe to assume the news would be out by now.
