I'm faced with this very dilemma...should I go visit the Freeper side of my family to have some good Southern and Cuban (They're Southerners and Cubans) BBQ? Yes, pulled Pork and Cuban Pork will be served. Yes, they are Republican. I got a million fucking Elian emails during that ordeal.

Don't skip the BBQ. Do it for me. I am dieing for good BBQ. I am probably flying to Nashville from NY and driving to Alabama for a BBQ competion in September. I can't wait. All BBQ all the time that weekend.

Buy the way, Bring your talking points and some anti-Bush stuff. Maybe a sheet of flip flops or flyers with Kerry's gun position.

3. Family is everything.
Go, eat the food, hug everyone, and listen.

Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised by some of their concerns.

We should direct our anger at the ones who lied, not the ones who believed the lies.

6. Oh they are a different side of the amily
We were never really close...folks on my moms side.

We get along, but going to their functions is a bit like being a honey stick in an ant colony...

5. Take James Carville's advice--
Grab a plate, load it up, find a lonely table, and don't speak.
