4. No, it's good and helps. It may not help the snow pack but it extends the green season
The brown season has been lasting too long for the last few years and I'm growing weary of it. Brown season means fires too, and I don't like fires.

5. Doesn't a green, wet spring mean more burnable material later though?
I seem to recall that's been an issue in past fire seasons, but I'm a city kid so I'm not really up on these things.

7. Yes it can, but the temperature it the main factor
We need more delta influence to keep the temperatures moderate in the summer. Triple digit weather with a north wind blowing stink is what turns the little fires into conflagrations.

13. We need it very badly.
One rainstorm last week helped a bit, but it was less than an inch.

Desperately awaiting the rainy season.

14. No, quite the opposite
April was the 7th wettest in Central IN. May is supposed to be very wet, too.

Sorry to hear that you need some - wish I could ship some to you!

and south or east of us. (Chapel Hill, NC) We're up to 80% chance for some tonight.

We put in new landscaping--all naturalized, no lawn-- last Dec with the final perennials just planted two weeks ago! It takes me two hours to water the yard by hand...and I don't want to do it tomorrow.
