I just saw my first Blackpoll Warbler...

He was in my holly tree, but I couldn't get a pic of him. I was surprised, because while they're often seen here in their fall migration, they typically migrate much farther to the west in the spring.

5. I saw my first Yellowthroat Warbler in the honeysuckle vines on my
fence over the weekend. A kind DUer in the Birder group helped me ID it.



Isn't he a handsome fellow?

I've only seen one; but they're apparently plentiful around here...I saw it when we were hiking through a local swamp.

Isn't it thrilling to see a bird you've never noticed before? :hi:
