Moderate Dems pop in...

Now please can nobody flame this thread!... calling all moderate Dems on this board…lets have a heads up and see where you guys are… now there aren’t many of us here but there are a few and I think it might be a good idea to get together on this thread and see what our positions really are…so come one come all moderate Dems!

...its great to here from some other moderates and an open minded liberal ... I'd like to think of my self as a dog of yellow and blue stripes but i have voted GOP at low levels before :think: ... but any who why do you guys find yourself to be moderate Dem's rather than the average run of the mill liberal Dem's that populate the underground... social issues... economic issues...security issues... and you guys will all vote for Kerry right? I mean i will and I'm assuming you guys will... i really don't see many moderates backing Bush this time around....

But have never voted a straight ticket before. Basically, I'm an independent with Democratic leanings. I surely vote "D" far more often than "R" or "I" but always examine each candidate. Where I live, there is very rarely a legitimate Democratic contender for office. In the primary, the Democratic candidates were a 20 year old college student who has only been here a year, and the self-proclaimed leader of the local black-separatist movement. Not much of a choice. I didn't bother voting for either one. I have worked on campaigns for candidates from both major parties. Yes, I guess I'm and independent who identifies much more with the Dems than the "R" folks.

... Yellow dog means a person who will vote for anything even a "yellow dog" if its a Dem... Blue dog refers to the "Blue Dog Coalition" a group of mostly southern moderate Democrats (i think Lieberman is a member?)... thats the difference as far as i know... :-)
