The judges have clearly been told to never say a bad word about the guy. I don't know if they want to have a christian music market winner, or if they just like the young widower storyline or what it is but it's painfully obvious.

I'm even convinced that they were behind having Adam alone be on the cover of Entertainment Weekly before being the winner as a way to generate some kind of backlash.

..in the background. My daughter is a fan and she has it on every Tuesday and Wednesday. Even just listening and watching it peripherally 2 things have been ridiculously obvious:

1)They desparately want Gokey to win and have done everything in their power to advance that story line.

2)They were going to do everything in their power to not have Allison finish close to the end. That she made it as far as she did despite their efforts is a testament to her ability. They definitely wanted Lil Rounds more than Allison and tried to advance that story line as well but she just continued to underperform so they couldn't pull it through for her any longer.

Seriously, it's a weird year on Idol.

It feels like the primaries.

It's coming down to angels verses demons.

heathens vs. christians.

Straights vs everyone else.

It's feel significant.

And this is the first year I've ever paid attention. Ever.

I'm rooting for the Demons, Heathens, and everyone Else.

And loving every minute of it.

Believe it or not, this American Idol, BTW, up until this year I had never watched it since Kelly Clarkson,

is POLITICAL.

I think he is endearing and he has a soulful voice.

I think Adam is more talented, but I think what Danny is doing is great. He has had a rough year. If I were voting, it would be for Adam, but I am not going to sit here and down on Danny because he may be a Christian. That is shit.
