Canine loyalty - you can't beat this in any other creature.
My eldest daughter came home from school feeling a little off. She's rather ill right now, vomiting and all.

Her border collie has barely left her bedside. She reluctantly came down when I called her to let her out for the night and clearly rushed through her business to get back inside. She started right up the stairs and I called her back down because she hadn't been fed. I put food in her bowl and she just looked at it, so I said, "yes, you may go back up to her." Without touching the food, she ran back up the stairs.

That's loyalty.

1. Dogs are amazingly empathetic creatures.
They really know when something is wrong and do their best to help.

4. Dogs are so wonderful that way.
MrSG was taking an on-line test the other day when I got home from work. Our dog, who normally goes into yips and yaps of excitement, practically tiptoed over to me, not making a sound. She knew her "daddy" was working on something important. :)

5. Doggies will save the world, if we let them.
They are better than we are, in some ways.

6. I don't get sick very often,
but when I have been ill, my two dogs always stay close.

When I'm distraught about something, they try and get as close as possible - looking at me with concerned eyes.

Dogs are the best.

7. "Dogs are better
people than most people."

I heard that years ago and a lifetime spent living with dogs has confirmed it.
