3. I've been there
but I never considered taking a kayak over it.

2. First off, that's a fabulous vid.
That falls is utterly awesome.

I kayak, but consider myself a "tourist" kayaker. Several years ago I wanted to paddle in an area that was not familiar to me so I hired a guide. I clearly outlined my experience level, but he took me to places that I had not business going to. Obliviously, all ended okay, but to this day, I remember that experience with more fear than fun.
