Good morning Lounge
It is Friday Wednesday!!! My last day of work for this week :woohoo: I came to work this morning packed. My small suitcase, my camera, my purse .... and a portable grinder

Yesterday after work I went to a home improvement store to get some things. Now, when I came back and wanted to switch from the tram to the underground the station was closed. Great .... our chancellor Angela Merkel was in town. The station I wanted to use is right beneath the European Central Bank. Police was all over the place. I guess she was there before giving a speech to the public later on.
It was really annoying ....

Picture of the Day (Sweden again. My mom looking at the sea)

1. My son was working on an essay on the computer
and he just got up to brush his teeth. Before I turn the computer off, I thought, I'll post "Good Morning, Miss Honeychurch", and beat you to it, but as you can see I missed the boat by ~15 minutes. Where are you going with your little suitcase?
Are there trees near this shore in Sweden?

:hi:

You can take over tomorrow and Friday :)

I am going to visit my mom till Sunday (not in Sweden but in the Black Forest :) )

There are trees near the shore in Sweden, just not at the Island Farö.

3. That will be nice to visit your mom.
I hope to visit mine this summer. She is 94 and lives 4358 km across the country. I wish I could hop on a train to see her!
My brother spent some time in Norway and was invited to stay with a family in their summer cabin with walls each made of three 3' diameter trees- thick log cabin walls!
You say good morning, now I say good night. Have a pleasant mini vacation!

7. Good morning MissH!
It's my Friday too!:woohoo:

Well, I'm not packed, but all my stuff is out on my daybed next to my suitcase. When I get home after work, I'll just throw everything in and I'm off!

I'm trying to get projects done at work before I leave and yesterday I was there until almost 6:00 p.m. and had even skipped my lunch break. That's just crazy. Now you know why I am so looking forward to this vacation.

You are going to have to much fun at your mom's. Will our brother be able to visit too?

Fabulous picture!

11. Oh thank you, I'm sure I'll
have a great vacation. Be prepared to be bored with vacation stories when I get back!

I'm using up all the perishable food before I leave, so for breakfast I'm having a salad! ;)

I understand about your brother. Months and months go by and I don't hear from my siblings. I invited my sister to visit when I moved to my new place (a little over a year ago), but she hasn't found the time yet. She lives 45 minutes away.

15. I'm going to bring my
tomato plants in while I'm gone. Last year I left them outdoors and the soil dried out. They did not like that. I think if I water them well and leave them indoors, they'll be okay. I leave them by the patio door so they get plenty of sunshine.

Gotta head out for work now. So wishing you a great day (a fast afternoon), and wishing you a super time at you Mom's.

See you in June.

I am proud of you. I was puttering around last night, re-filling my dishwasher and letting it run so that there isn't any life developing I don't want. Also watered my plants on the balcony and packed my suitcase. And watched TV

Did you like the shows? Anything I need to know? Is anybody leaving the show?

of NCIS :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6Do3mKST8k

Sometimes I wished they would do it. Some countries are doing that. Sending the movies in the orginal language with subtitles. But Germany dubb them.

:bounce:

One of the things I learned in undergrad is that sub-titling is actually better for your brain. It's easier for it to make sense of the written words. With dubbing, your brain is constantly trying to match the dialogue up with the mouths, and it wears out your brain and pulls you out of the story.

We're having some unstable weather so that will influence what I'll be doing. But my usual, walking the dogs, going out on my bike, later in the canoe with the dog. Working in my garden; today I have to mow the lawn and weed-whack.

Maybe a cookout tonight.:hi:

Security for political leaders everywhere tightened as a result of the assassination of Olaf Palme, didn't they?

Here in DC anything can be closed at any time.
