Any Tori Amos fans on here?
I'm a big fan, and I'm not ashamed to say it. I think she is a vivid lyricist and has perhaps the sexiest singing voice of any female artist out there.

Her new album came out yesterday...just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it? I think it was okay....better than her last album, which I think was her weakest effort to date and only had 2-3 solid songs on it. I think it was pretty much on par with "The Beekeeper" which was hit or miss IMHO, with some great songs and others that were more forgetable. Unfortunately, I don't think she's had a truly great album since "Scarlet's Walk".

Still, it had a couple of worthy songs. My favorite has to be the opening track, "Give":

Just wonderfully dark and sensual.

2. Love Tori!
I actually like her last few albums. I think she weaves very vivid stories over the length of the entire albums.

Her voice is amazing and is only getting better with time.
I'll have to pop out and pick this album up today.

She needs to tour more. Saw her about 3 years ago. It was fantastic!

3. I am - personally, I loved Doll Posse, and don't like the new one so much
The lyrics are still often strong on the new CD, but some songs sound unfinished, and others have a hard rock heart without the presentation. Tori is always different, but usually she has more melody. The album isn't without some great Tori songs: "Not Dying Today," "Maybe California," "Abnormally Attracted To Sin," and "500 Miles."

Regina Spektor's new "Blue Lips" is more of what I wanted from Tori. Very excited for her upcoming CD!

5. It's okay....
.....actually "ate her cheese" sounds like one of her random, off-beat lyrics thrown in there.
