11. AMC "Movie Church"

We're not church goers.. and neither our most of our friends. So, sometimes on Sunday mornings one of them will call and ask if we want to go to "Movie Church". Basically we go watch a Movie at the AMC theater at 10am - it's only $5 instead of the normal $13, and they give you free popcorn too.

We're looking at the new Star Trek this Sunday!

though the building itself is not 240 years old, the establishment of a church there is. (Fray Junipero Serra founded it in 1769). Now known as Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcalá.

18. I can't do just one...

I've known this UU church most of my life, and recently found it satisfies my need for a spiritual community.

Too bad this pic doesn't show the view of the woods.

The sanctuary is also an art gallery.

They did everything they could to minimize impact of the building on the environment.

I was married in this room 20 years ago, when it was the main sanctuary.

I took violin lessons in a room like this one when I was a kid.
