we saw this thing in chicago last year- it was a hoot(yes, a hoot) to watch- they have a big platform on the lake, maybe 30-40 ft. high, and groups of people(and some singles) take turns "launching" their home-made...aircraft? off the end of the platform, with the goal being to fly or glide the farthest distance before hitting the water- and not too many of them got very much horizontal distance at all- most were crashes straight into the water...although their were actually a few that did get some air. usuually the hang-glider types of things.
also- the groups also usually have a little skit or musical accompaniment before taking the plunge.

so- here's what i'm seing: someone as the lil'dictator in a flight suit, with a comically big cod-piece(even moreso than *'s...and use aluminum foil to make it more visible) talking about his flight, and that it's going to be just like his campaign- soaring him to victory...at which point he dons goggles, climbs aboard...and well you can guess the rest...splash.

abig part of the fun of the event is walking around the staging area where the groups have their contraptions, waiting their turns at the ramp. if you haven't seen the tv commercials, you can go here to see more pics, and get a feel for the event:
