1. No, it's considered suicidal.
Don't know how it will happen, but if your name isn't "Scottie" or "Uhura" you will be killed and those in blue or gold will live.

which we both know Abrams clearly does not...

People who hate Trek are actually seeing this movie. Well, at least people with IQs lower than the age of my grandmother will be able to think they're smart too (note: they're not)...

6. In the original 1960s tv show,
security and engineering personnel wore red. They (more often the security personnel) got killed.

In Trek TNG, the sequels, and the prequel, the red and gold colors were reversed... so in TNG and the spinoffs and prequel, you could always bet someone wearing gold would get the chop.

:shrug:

In the new movie, color is irrelevant. Anyone watching it has to be brain-dead as a prerequisite...

18. The second Meat started flapping his mouth about kicking Romulan butt,
Kirk should have taken the charges. That's a guaranteed dirt nap for Lt Badass (Movie cliche #57). Would have capped the joke, too.
