I miss my old IBM selectric
with the replaceable ball. I think of that everytime I check wikipedia.

3. I really don't "need" another one
though it would be great to have for typing forms that are not on the computer.

That ball of letters on the opening wikipedia page makes me think of it.

a whole bunch of hits. Even in lousy shape, with sticky keys, the cheapest was still a hundred fifty bucks, plus shipping. (List)

Good way to do envelopes, and there's something reassuringly solid about an electric appliance that goes chunk-chunk-chunk so fast. Feels good under your fingers.

well, mine never really went that fast - at least when I was using it LOL but it sure did feel good.

Its hard to find a computer keyboard that feels right.

On second thought, there is something reassuringly solid about any electrical appliance that works!
