1. "When I tell I'm in love, you better believe I'm in LUV, L-U-V".
New York Dolls.

Love really is better than the other shit.

Besides, we have the satellite dish.....

21. Dolls via the fabulous Shangri Las of course.
Here is my philosophy courtesy of Arlo Guthrie:

Some men value fortune and fame

I don't care about none

I just wanna drink my ripple wine

and have my good time fun

So I guess what I am saying is that I choose sex, drugs and rock-n-roll over all of the other choices.

3. I voted for the all encompassing power thing.
I'd seriously like to be God. Even if just for a day. This damn place needs redding up in the worst way.

We need new fucking management here.

It can buy some amazing substitutes.

6. So the implication I'm getting is that you can choose something like love or money
then drop dead soon after and not really have time to enjoy either one.

11. Long life, but by that I would include "quality" or health. I don't want to become paralyzed and
then have a long life.

I want to be able to run, do yoga, play with my niece, run with my dogs, etc...

14. Love is fickle. Fame is fleeting and often gotten for the wrong reasons. Define 'long life'...
as in "quality of"...

Therefore, I will take 'money'.

The thinking behind what we are voting for seems to me to be very important, and it's very difficult to work into a poll, unfortunately.

Also, what is the definition of "Love"? Are we talking about marriage or spirituality, or what?

To me, "love" equates with spirituality. All else can follow...

Finding someone who's personality is in sync with your own. Gender is immaterial.

Lust is the immediate physical attraction one might see in another.

I already have the love of my life though.

25. Loving people? Things? Doing things? Doing people?
I love doing things, and I'd only make love to a person I loved.

Which means I'm content doing only things for the remainder of my chronological lifespan, unless a special someone shows up.

26. There is a very old joke on this subject...
Edited on Mon May-25-09 07:26 PM by Xipe Totec
A man walking on the beach finds a lamp, rubs it, and a Gennie appears...

Thank you - says the Gennie - for freeing me from the lamp.

I will grant you one wish in return.

- I thought I was supposed to get three wishes - said the man.

- You get one; don't be greedy.

Not only that, you can only choose one of these three wishes:

I can make you the most attractive man in the world,

I can make you the smartest man in the world, or...

I can make you the richest man in the world....

Now, CHOOSE!

- The man thinks for a moment, and decides - I want to be the smartest man in the world!

- So be it - says the Gennie, touches the man on the forehead, and disappears.

True enough, he suddenly becomes the smartest man in the world. The scales fall from his eyes, and he can see the deep implications of every choice ever made...

He ponders, using his new found powers of analysis...

And, after a moment of deep analysis, exclaims...

- Damn! I should have GONE FOR THE MONEY!!!!
