Is there a margarine that has no trans fat in it?
Butter is delicious but it's not exactly a health food, and I hate to give up having toast.

This is from a website I found on the google.

"Butter is rich in both saturated fat and cholesterol, so it's potentially highly atherogenic. That means it contributes to the build up of cholesterol and other substances in artery walls. Such plaque deposits increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Most margarine is made from vegetable fat and provides no dietary cholesterol. The more liquid the margarine (in tub or liquid form), the less hydrogenated it is and the less trans fatty acids it contains."

1. Butter is better for you than margarine.
Unless you have some specific health issues that your doctor told you no to butter, you're better off eating butter.

One is always better off eating natural foods than eating shit that's made in a chemical plant.

2. Earth Balance is the best "butter" on earth.
Hands down. Tastes great. No trans fats, high in Omega-3, etc etc etc.

11. It's been SO long since I've had actual butter
I couldn't tell you. I can tell you that as I recall eating English muffins when I was little, I get the same memory sensation with EB as I did butter in my youth.

12. I eat butter about once a year
It's bad for you, of course, but it destroys my gall butter. However, I love it! I've never found anything that's close to teh taste.

I like, and use, Smart Balance.

Not a trans fat anywhere!

Delicious, and great in cooking and on the table...

7. Butter is made from milk cream. Margarine is a man made product invented by a French chemist.
