Any DUers here use the current or recent HP laptops? I saw the zx5000 series yesterday, really nice sound, a 64 MB Ati card (dedicated memory, not the suck ass intergrated crap), 15 inch screen and the WiFi built in. Plus, HP is loading the iTunes software on all the Pavillion laptops (you can download it from HP or Apple--same XP application) My iMac is still going strong, no need to replace it util a G5 iMac comes out--like next year or so, or even an eMac.

The 114inch iBook(933 G4) has a slighly smaller screen--14.1, so that's a draw. For the same price for the HP laptop, zx5000 something--that's a losuy ass product name!--, I can add the Airport Extreme card and go to 640 MB RAM. 40 Gig HD on iBook, 60 on HP, Panther on iBook that rocks, XP on HP. 32mb Video RAM on iBook, 64 on the HP, plus the built in Hardon Kamen speakers.. Games? A wash, that's why I have the Xbox and Ninja Gaiden :bounce: I can still use my imac for iCal, iPhoto, iSynch for the good old Mac gospel.

Oh, and I don;t let anyone use any of my computer stuff--if the GF wants to use the next one, whichever it shall be, I'm putting passowrd protection on it like there's no tomorrow! No one touches my food, money, woman, and now my computer stuf
