1. I think James Elroy's "American Tabloid" laid out a convincing....

set of circumstances as to why the mob would want to kill JFK, and how they could make it happen. Not sure there's any proof in the book, but it merits a read just for the rationale.

Some say I had a Gotti obsession. ANYway, there were a couple books that made a compelling case for both the mob helping him INTO office as well as...well, taking him out of it.
