If you changed your name during the Amnesty period, are you still happy that you did?
...or, if given the chance, would you change it back to your original name again?

3. No, I kinda miss ALiberalSailor...
...my attempt to rake off my favorite fashion designer has been an unmitigated failure.

6. I'm finding that I don't know who people are anymore.
I was familiar with your ALiberalSailor persona, but I didn't know that you were now SKKY. I was the person who helped you get your last few posts to get to 1000, so I specifically remember you.

I wish that part of the change was that the old name went into the user's profile for a year or so. The name in the sig line for a short period of time helped, but it wasn't long enough for me to get everything straight. I often wonder whether someone left DU or changed their name.

Sorry that you don't like your name. :(

4. "...are you still happy that you did?"
YES! My name now sounds upbeat and happy, almost lyrical to me. It matches how I feel now about what's happening in America. :)

My old name was dreary and old sounding, very serious; I chose it b/c I was SO Intimidated by the vast intelligence at D.U. - I was SO not up to par, lol. The last thing I woulda done back then was choose a fun/silly name like the one I have now.

10. This is my original name. I *definitely* had a dream back...
in 2005 when I joined DU. My dream's a little closer to reality now, but we still have a long way to go...

I like my name quite a bit, but people never know what to call me. (I didn't quite "get" the concept of a username when I first joined DU. I didn't understand that people would actually refer to me by it. :D)

That being said, I still very much like the name. Dr. King is a real hero of mine.

:fistbump:

12. oooh, Ok.
THAT makes it a different ball game all together.

late '04/'05, yeah. " I have a Dream" - wow, enough to bring a tear to my eye just remembering that time.

Very powerful.
