WTF? They've changed brands. I didn't notice it until last night when I put the bag back up on shelf. We've been using it for the pups nightly treat for about a week and they don't seem to have any ill effects. But still... I'm concerned because of the quality control issues.

I think I'll take it back this afternoon and tell them why. Am I being too cautious? Like I said, they seem to be okay.

1. They had poison in baby food for their own home consumption.
Who knows what they put it dog food?

2. The melamine thing is what started it
or at least our awareness of the poor quality control. I need to go dig up the receipt and I need to find a substitute nightly treat. Little Louie is adamant about his chicken jerky time.

3. At the very least
that could be construed as cannabalism. It's terrible what they do to dogs and cats there.

4. I wouldn't call it too cautious
My mom's dog got sick from those Costco chicken jerky strips.

The costco by me has had Chinese ones for as long as I've been going there. I get rawhides and pig ears there, because those are made in USA.

5. Take it back -
I've spent time in China.

Take it back.

We have to read every label every damn time, I guess....................

6. Defintely take it back
I'm sure they'll appreciate the feedback - they're generally cool like that.

I give my doggie their Kirkland Dog Biscuits - I think they're Lamb & Chicken flavored, and they have glucosamine. It's a good crunchy treat. If you have a smaller doggie, you could break the treat into pieces as they are rather large.

Good luck - and good looking out for your fur-baby.
