Do Aqua-globes work?

The reviews are either very postive or very negative.

This would be for a hanging pot in direct sun.

1. I have two of them, and they work very well.

I don't use them as a substitute for watering, though. I water my plants as normal and if they need the extra water it's there. I had one for my dragon tree that stayed full for a month and once spring hit, it just started draining the water. I think it will depend on the plant.

The one thing I will say about them is the stems on them are made of very thin glass. It would be very easy to snap the stem if you didn't make a hole for it in the soil first. I've had to remake holes to prevent breaking the tips before. It's not that big of a deal, but some people are nervous about thin pieces of glass.

Only change I would make in doing this is to just cut a filling gap in the bottom of the bottle rather than cutting off the entire bottom of bottle. (see directions from above site)
