Also,Butler County got a new jail! Good luck!

Ribbon Cut On New Jail In Butler

A brand new 512-bed jail is ready for occupancy.

The $43 million facility has been years in the making.

The new facility means the end of years of making do with the 140 plus inmates housed in the 53 year-old current jail.

The old jail was only designed to hold close to 45 inmates.

Some inmates will be moving into the new jail by June 17.

The Butler County commissioners still have to decide on what to do with the old facility.

I saw it on local TV, too. Can you imagine... 140 inmates crammed into space meant for 45? Must be really tense in there.
