Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

It is hump day, the week is almost over. I am off tomorrow. We have another holiday here in Germany. This time Corpus Christi. But after tomorrow there will be long months without holidays - the next one is October 3rd, our 4th of July so to speak :)
This year it 20 years ago that the wall came down. I feel old ....

Thank you. I'm rather proud of that pic too :)

The weather is supposed to be cool, so I I think I will be a couch potato and just relax. I have to work Friday and Saturday. Saturday in the second job. 8 hours as a cashier.

3. I love couch potato days!
I need to work over the weekend too, but I don't need to do that often.

I sprained my little finger on my right hand yesterday, and it is very swollen, and painful. I managed to fashion a splint for it, though, so that is helping a lot.

:hi::loveya:

Wednesday! Only 1.5 days of work left. I had to fight the computer issues again yesterday, and when I left they were still working on it :banghead:. Do you have plans for your day off?

Little MB popped a wire in her braces yesterday and called me at work at 4pm to tell me I needed to get her *now* and take her to the orthodontist. I fixed it myself and will call for an appointment later ;). By the time I got her, the ortho was closed.

I will be on that plane in 36 hours :bounce:

Another day off? Sheesh . . . you're getting off of work all the time. Actually, it's nice to have days off, we all need time to recoup. A couch potato day does sound good right now. ;) Hope that your Saturday job goes well.

And thanks for reminding me. I'm going to put in for a vacation day around our July 4th holiday to extend my weekend.

I too am glad that it's hump day. It's been a strange week at work, but will be good from here on. :)

If I could I would go home right away. I am tired and the weather isn't improving my mood either. I am so glad that I can sleep in tomorrow.

Soon you have weekend too and then you can sleep in too. The first days back to work after a vacation are the worst.

just lay your head down on your desk and take a little nap. I'm sure your supervisor will not mind. ;)

It's a cloudy, dreary, rainy day here - a good day to stay home and read. Unfortunately, I'm still catching up on work stuff. You are right, the first few days after a vacation, especially as long as I took off, are the most difficult. Ahhh, but brighter days ahead - right?

26. Hello MissHoneychurch !

I just woke up...

Woke up,fell out of bed,
Dragged my comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup,
And looking up I noticed I was late.
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke,
Somebody spoke and I went into a dream.

And here I am ! How are ou today my dear ? :hi:

34. Hello jeff
:hi:  :loveya:

Sorry, I was in a meeting most of the morning and quite some time of the afternoon. Now I am back at my desk and try to figure out what I learned today.

I had a dream I was following a barefoot girl
Beside a stream that flowed around the world
And we spoke of many things though her mouth never moved
As the most peculiar scenes were disappearing into view

Oh what a dream beyond the realm of why
Pretty little beings beneath the yawning sky
Speaking of God as though they could define
Music to the deaf and color to the blind or God to man

And then the leaves became a thousand tears
And I was on my knees in a crazy house of mirrors
I couldn't find my face but a voice was drawing nearer
Hush baby, sweet baby, hush don't you cry

And I thought I woke and my mother was standing there
And my heart broke as the ribbons in her hair
Turned into highways surrounded and swirled
Like a crown come down around a not so perfect world

In the corner of the dream was the man with the blue guitar
It had no strings but the music touched the stars
And his long dark curls turned to gold before my eyes
And the barefoot girl smiled off to the side and it was real

Then a thousand birds took flight with a joyful noise
And I heard the angels up on high rejoice
I could see my face and I recognized the voice
Hush baby, sweet baby, hush baby hush

It's just a dream, one of those that goes on and on
Scene after scene with the rhythm of a gypsy song
When I really woke I was frozen in between
I didn't know who I was, it was a dream inside a dream

It's all a dream
Oh what a dream
I had a dream

(Joan Baez, The Dream Song)

53. I can see how that would need some adjusting
but the extra money will be worth it. :D

29. Good morning!
:loveya: :hi: Another great picture.

I'm up and ready to go running soon. Just found out that the 2:25 flight I planned to take filled up during the night. I could have got on the 9:25 this morning, but I'd never make it now. Oops.

Last resort I can get on the 8pm flight tonight and spend another night in Ft. Myers...

86. Well, I can go on the 2:25, but that has no seats.
Edited on Wed Jun-10-09 10:15 AM by cwydro
Doesn't mean I won't get on, but not looking good. I've gotten on flights with no seats before, thanks to no-shows.

The 8pm flight has 14 seats and only a few non-revs listed right now, but I have to spend the night in Ft. Myers and catch a morning flight to KW.

If I go out to the airport for the afternoon flight and don't get on, either I have to drag my parents back out to get me or spend 6 hours in the damn airport.

So I'm in a quandary. What do you think? Help me, Miss Honeychurch.

That picture I didn't take from my balcony. But from a tower downtown Frankfurt. With my old film camera :)

Shot away, what is your question?

I took a class where I developed the film myself and as well the pictures. Maybe I need to do it again. I still have my film camera.

31. G'day, MissH!
Made it through last night's soccer game vs. the 1st place team and arch-rivals. We were beaten unmercifully and didn't get a goal. :( Injured and walking wounded used our few subs. I don't know the final score. :hide:

46. I feel fine
all the heavier training helped a LOT. I'm not walking around in pain, can't say the same for my teammates. :( We had 4 playing injured, of those, 2 ended their games early. We had only 7 fully-functional players, and our opponents had 12. Watching them change players was like watching a hockey line change--at once.
