I just realized it's almost twenty years since I saw the Rolling Stones

And that was on a "comeback" tour I think.

It was a great show at the, even then, decrepit Legion Field, in Birmingham.

But what I'm posting about is that I can't believe that was twenty years ago.

2. My wife first saw them back in the '60's.....around 40 years ago...

I think she has seen them live 3 times.

5. I just asked her - she has seen them twice - once in '68 and once in '88.

she says she remembers the second concert much better - she wasn't wasted for that one....

7. Were they mainstream then?

I saw them at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans before they were "known". I remember thinking how they could go big, but I don't remember the year.

6. Almost 31 years for me.

Detroit Masonic Temple, July 6, 1978, smaller unannounced concert on the Some Girls tour, tickets all cost $10 apiece. Great, great show. The theater has 4400 seats, compared to the stadiums they were also playing on that tour.

as it was the Steel Wheels tour and I saw them in Clemson. Did Living Colour open? Was there a giant inflatable Honky Tonk Woman?

Once at Alpine Valley (East Troy, WI) and once at the HHH Metrodome in Minneapolis.
