From the Valley of the Jolly Ho-Ho-Ho
Mo-Sexual

From our community garden plot this evening:

A sinkful of sweet and tender chard

An astounding number of (now shelled) peas

A radish that got away from us

Good eats--livin' off the land.

1. I've never seen a radish that big
Was it good or was it way too hot?

3. This was not the biggest one
just the best formed.

The early small ones were mild and good. Recently they have been way too peppery and I can only imagine how this would be raw.

I'm going to try slicing and sauteeing it and see if it tones it down at all.

There are some really grotesque radishes out there still.

:scared:

2. Nothing beats the taste of home grown, does it?
We have been eating peas, zucchini, sweet and hot peppers, tons of cucumbers for the past 3 weeks.
Actually begging people to take them off our hands.
Never get enough cukes at one time to pickle, but too many to eat.
Now the temps are getting too high for fruit set, but corn and tomatoes are ramping up.
And I live on watermelon from June thru end of September.
Bon appetit !

4. I can't wait for the tomatoes!
We have some heirlooms named Mortgage Lifter and Bloody Butcher!

That's got to be a good tomato, right?
