Am I the only young person that does not know how to text?
My sister and most of my friends do it and I see people all the time doing it. I have a cell phone that I sometimes use but most of the time I forget to take it with me and when I do have it I hardly ever use it. I sometimes think I should learn how to.

2. Well, if 30 is still considered young, then no.....
I think I've sent about 2 or 3 text messages in my entire life.

12. 30 is young...
I'm almost there and I refuse the "middle-aged" stigma. I am young - I will be at heart forever....

5. I'm addicted to it, too, and I never thought that would happen.
I used to think that texting was pretty annoying. Now I do it all the time, and it can be a lot of fun.

Another geezer, checking in. :patriot:

:hi: Richardo!

8. the one thing I will say is that using a 12-key cel-phone keypad to text is a P.I.T.A.
click-"H"-click-"E"-click-click-"L"-pause-click-click-"L"-click-click-"O". :eyes:

I imagine it's a lot easier on a QWERTY keypad like on a blackberry.

6. Hardly. My eyesight's too bad & fingers too large for it to be viable.

9. nope, not really young (30) , but I don't even have a cell.
It's my own sort of "liberation" in a way. I'm not perpetually accessible, which is quite satisfying most of the time.

10. I learned out of necessity because that's about all my
16-year-old uses her cell phone for. I once took her and two of her friends out to dinner and had to tell them to put the phones away. They were texting each other across the table.
