my mom says it's one of the stupidest and unfunniest things she's ever seen, but isn't really offended since it's actually more degrading to men as it makes us all out to be rather dumb.
But part of that was the subtle "We're so macho we're almost gay" layer of the show that Kimmel and Corolla ran with. They had more than one sketch that would imply the whole overcompensation for a questioned sexual identity thing going on.
Although I don't think all of the viewers caught that at the time.
7. I caught that too--I could stand to watch it with my hubby
with the original hosts. There was an underlying "we know we're jerks" attitude that made it funny. It really WASN'T misogynistic like the new hosts are. They laughed at themselves more than they made fun of women.
Sometimes I think they were even envious of the power women held over them. The new hosts are just rude and degrading to everyone.
My mom absolutely hates it but my dad has no problem with me watching it. Sometimes it is funny sometimes it really stupid. Once Adam and Jimmy left I stopped watching it.
