For me it's the Bosstones, Oasis, and REM. All liberal bands. One not American, I know, but the whole world wants to win this election after all.

1. Moxy Fruvous, Todd Rundgren, XTC
Again, one not American, and two not performing live currently, but one can dream.

2. You want something urban as well.
Lets make sure we show diversity. We might want to put in a Brian McKnight or a Stevie Wonder (Higher Ground).

3. I'm not saying the only bands, just if you could add 3
I know some will already be there like the Eagles I think(I'm not really a fan of them).

But I am a huge Oasis and Bosstones fan, and I like REM alot. Of my favorite bands, those 3 I beleive would best fit a big broad event like the DNC convention, and although they won't appeal to too many old-old people, they do appeal to a ton of gen x and younger. I'm gen Y and lov em.

7. My wish list, which will never happen.
Guns N' Roses - Because it would be nice to see Axl show up, well, anywhere.

Evanescence - Rock w/ a semi-etheral, get your mind working twist. Plus Amy Lee is always good eye candy.

Weird Al - The possibility of Anti-Bushco parodies just makes my mind sigh wistfully.

Must appeal to broad audience...I thought about Missy Elliott, I love her, but I don't know her politics?

11. Missy Elliot has the politics of being a materialistic annoying person
I really can't stand her. She's been on MTV cribs twice showing off her waistful goddy aweful decadance. She has a freaking Lamborghini made into a bed. And of course the room full of shoes she's worn never-to-once.

The best popular "urban" performer we could have is Beyonce. I know Jay-Z is a liberal and is one of the concious rappers. At least a little bit. But I doubt that Beyonce would ever want to get political, as she seems very private.

26. I think Oasis and TMMBT would end up in a slap fight...
Dickie Barret and Liam Gallagher would definitely have fisticuffs.

I'd pick:

Immortal Alice (my friends GREAT and underappreciated band)
Radiohead
Parliament
