CNN Breaking: President Obama introduces bill to officially declare Lucky Charms magically delicious
Edited on Tue Jun-16-09 09:06 PM by Amerigo Vespucci

Washington DC - President Obama held a press conference today to introduce legislation which, once approved, would officially declare Lucky Charms cereal to be "magically delicious."

Republican outcry against the measure pointed to the long-standing principle of "separation of church and state," which Representative John A. Boehner (R - OH) said should include "separation of state and breakfast cereal."

Upon learning of Mr. Boehner's remarks, President Obama asked "I fully intend to move forward with this legislation. I fully support Representative Boehner's right as an American to cry like a baby for a photo op, but this cereal IS magically delicious, and it will be officially recognized as such."

This marks the first time in United States history since 1953 that a Leprechaun-based bill has been put up for a vote from the House and Senate. A 1953 proposed Constitutional Amendment, nicknamed "Lucky's Law," called for mass euthanizing of leprechauns. During discussions, when it was revealed that Leprechauns are fictional characters and don't actually exist, the vote fell along party lines, with a majority of Democrats voting against and only one Republican, J. Sanford "Skippy" Beaulieu, from South Carolina, voting for it. His second-term bid for re-election was soundly defeated, primarily because of his cry to "snuff the little bastards," unaware that local news cameras were recording his remarks.

3. My favorite cereal.
But this is obviously a ploy to win back the white working class Irish vote.

Just ask Chris Matthews.

11. He did bring that up...
...said something about offering his most sincere apologies to Tony The Tiger, and the Lucky Charms decision was in no way a statement on the Grrrrrrrreatness of Frosted Flakes.

Tony The Tiger was in attendance at the press conference, and upon hearing President Obama's remarks, growled ferociously and charged the podium. He was taken town by a Secret Service tranquilizer dart.

His penis was later sold to a Chinese apothecary shop, and his meat sold to a local distributor rumored to be the primary supplier for the Taco Bell fast food chain.
