Make some slightly depressing predictions of things that could happen in the next 10 years.
Edited on Wed Jun-17-09 08:53 AM by Tommy_Carcetti
It doesn't have to be anything catastrophic, like war, famine or disease. It just has to be sufficiently groan-worthy.

For example...

I predict within the next 10 years, some dipshit movie producer will pitch a remake of "The Godfather", and some dipshit movie studio will go ahead and greenlight it.

I predict within the next 10 years, MLB and NFL teams will start putting advertising logos on their uniforms like NASCAR and soccer teams do.

3. Hey, I'm rooting hard for the Nats the next two games.
Anyone who plays the Yanks automatically becomes one of my favorite teams for that time period.

4. Now that would be classified as catastrophic.
Knowing first hand what that man did to my state.

13. I've thought about that, but a lot of people disagree with that.
They think it will be his son. Apparently, he's a real charmer.

Doesn't hurt that he's good-looking.

5. I predict within the next 10 years,
The number of fast food joints will double, obesity will be way up, and a lot of fast food places will abandon indoor service and switch to a dual-sided drive-up model where you place your order online from your WiFi laptop, with your smart phone, or the car's on-board computer.

8. Yeah, I miss actual person to person service.
For example, when I deposit a check, I always do it in person as opposed through the ATM. I just don't fully trust it.

9. Same here.
I want to see a human handle it and record the deposit. All the ATM does is give you a slip of paper that states you CLAIM to have made a deposit and it has eaten an envelope.

15. A right-wing talk show host even more dumb and fascistic than any on the scene now
will become a publishing and media phenomenon surpassing the rest of them. Until the next even worse one comes along.

17. By 2019, a revisionist take on history will ascend
asserting that George W. Bush was actually one of the greatest and most successful presidents in history, especially in the realm of foreign policy.
